On the underside of most units, usually red or black. Switch the disposal off at the wall, press the reset firmly until it clicks, then try again.
If the disposal was completely dead, this alone fixes a surprising number of them. If it trips again immediately, something else is wrong.
Most disposals have a hex socket in the centre of the base and ship with a small wrench for it. With the unit switched off at the wall and the breaker off, insert the wrench and work it back and forth to free the grinding plate.
Then remove any debris with tongs, restore power, and press the reset.
